What was a Medieval Tournament?
Medieval Tournaments were a series of battles in which knights competed against each other. The one who lived through all the fights would be awarded a a prize or a great deal of money. They first started as knights preparing for war and then became a source of entertainment. Churches frowned upon these tournaments because too much blood was spilled. In the end, however, the people's love for this entertainment won over.
